Lead Coach

I loved the idea of mountain biking as a teen but had really limited exposure growing up. I moved to Vancouver for university and started really getting into biking after I finished my degree. I moved to Squamish in the early 2000's and have biked avidly ever since. In the winter I am part of the Whistler Blackcomb snow school and have worked in weekend coaching programs for the past 15 years. I can sometimes be spotted during the week teaching adults.

I have been lucky to participate in a variety of cycling disciplines and experiences. My longest race was a 3 day stage race across Costa Rica and my shortest is a lap around the bmx track. I have raced in endurance races, a world cup marathon race in Europe, Canada Cup cross country, Super D, road time trials, road hill climbs and BMX races. I used to love cycling backcountry endeavors and am fortunate to have traveled throughout Canada and the Pacific Northwest in a camper van finding adventures as I went. I am most proud of a 4th place finish at a race called The Cascade Cream Puff, 100 miles of mostly up-hill. More recently I prefer to spend my time riding with my kids and we can be spotted locally on the trails and at various BMX tracks

I love being a part of how stoked people get when they learn. I love seeing a student's eyes brighten as they understand a concept or execute a new skill. Cycling (and skiing) are such coachable activities and I love helping people and giving them the tools they need to unlock their potential.
