Elly Hoskin
Lead Coach
Hi I’m Elly!
I am a Squamish local and have been riding my whole life. I have raced Cross-Country, Downhill, and Road, but Enduro is where I compete now in the World Series. I really leaned into bike racing after a few years of dealing with injury and burnout from high performance soccer. I managed to graduate from high school in Squamish early and spend the year racing the Canadian Enduro Series before I began studying Health Sciences at university in the fall. I had the best times racing and even took home the Canadian U21 Women’s Overall title and my first ever Enduro World Series win in the open category. Shortly after I moved to the Okanagan for university, I was invited to race for Team Canada at the Trophy of Nations World Enduro. I managed to skip my midterm exams and get myself to Italy for the race. When I came home I knew I really needed to give biking a good shot so I finished my semester and will be racing, riding and coaching from Squamish this year instead.
This is also my first season as a Hilltop Coach! I have coached mountain biking for 3 or 4 years now, and soccer and volleyball before that, but growing up in programs like Hilltop, working with coaches, and reflecting on my experiences as a racer and rider has really helped shape myself as a coach the most. I am a huge advocate in sport for life, and especially keeping girls in sport. Loving biking and being outside is the number one priority.
