Liam Milburn
Lead coach
Hey there!
I'm Liam, and I've had the privilege of being a part of the Hilltop MTB family for a couple of years now. My journey started as an athlete, participating in various camps and practices offered by Hilltop. But soon enough, my passion for mountain biking led me to venture into coaching.
On 2022, I took my first steps as an assistant coach, and it was an incredible learning experience. I had the opportunity to work alongside some amazing coaches and develop my skills in guiding and mentoring young riders. The more I coached, the more I fell in love with the process and the joy of seeing riders progress and discover their potential.
I was thrilled to achieve my PMBI Level 1 coaching certificate in 2022. It was a significant milestone for me, solidifying my coaching career.
But let me rewind a bit and tell you how my love affair with mountain biking began. It all started when I moved to Squamish eight years ago. I've been riding bikes for as long as I can remember, but it was the wooden jumps that my neighbors built that really sparked my interest. I couldn't resist trying them out, and before I knew it, I was hooked on the feeling of catching air. Those jumps became too small for us, so we ventured into the woods in search of bigger jumps, and that's when I discovered the thrill of trail riding.
I'm honored to be a part of the Hilltop MTB crew, and I'm excited to continue developing my coaching career.
See you out there!
